Louise stitched her monumental Belgian sampler in 1903 at the Couvent des Sœurs du Sacré-Cœur de Jésus in Antwerp. The original sampler belongs to Annelies van den Bergh, who charted the design and stitched the model. Soed Idee is honored to publish this beautiful pattern on her behalf.
The design measures 636 × 596 stitches – about 92 × 86 cm (36 × 34 inches) on 36-count linen – filled with graceful alphabets, borders, and beautiful open hemstitch work.
